During the latest #CinNoir chat, my co-host Rebecca reviewed the film Captain America: Civil War. The film features Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther. The character and casting news about the upcoming Black Panther movie inspired the hashtag #BlackPantherSoLIT. We discussed the casting and the popularity of the hashtag with creator @ChadwickNChill.

I reviewed the Queen Latifah produced film Brotherly Love which stars one of my faves, Keke Palmer as well as Cory Hardrict and Macy Gray. Also, Rebecca reviewed the teen horror flick, Unfriended.
We also discussed the Bruce Jenner interview with Diane Sawyer and the trouble surrounding the Adam Sandler project “Ridiculous 6.” Several Native American actors and one consultant walked off set because of the project’s degrading and stereotypical images of Native Americans. Of course we weighed in on the controversy.
It’s #CinNoir Sunday. Today my Cinema in Noir co-hosts and I hosted our very first #CinNoir chat. We discussed the casting controversy surrounding Ridley Scott’s latest film, Exodus. We also reviewed the Annenberg report on diversity in film.
